Recipe of The Day: Shrimp Fried Noodle

This is just a quick recipe. I have already featured Ham Fried Noodle, and also did a post about different ways to cook Ramen.

Here is something that is fast and delicious. You may have some of these ingredients in your fridge already.

1 Pack of Beef Flavored Ramen
2 Stalks Green Onion
1 sliver of white onion (or however much you like)
5-6 medium sized pre cooked frozen shrimp
1 half Carrot
1 stalk of celery
1/2 season packet
1/2 tsp Soy sauce
Sesame Seed oil or Canola Oil
black pepper to taste

Cut your carrot anyway you like. I used my Quick Slice Mandolin and did coin slices. Chop your celery. Heat a pan on medium high heat. Drizzle some Sesame Seed oil in the pan. Saute carrots and celery. Saute about 5-6 minutes and then set aside. Heat water in a small sauce pot. Add noodles to boiling water. Do not add season packet! Put that to the side. Add noodles and cook for about 2 minutes. The noodles should still be firm. Do not overcook. Bring saute pan back on medium high heat. Drizzle a little bit more oil. Add in noodles and onion. Saute for a few minutes. Then add in half of season packet, soy sauce, and pepper. Mix everything well, be sure you coat all of the ingredients. Constantly tossing, you don't want the ingredients to stick or burn. Finally, add in your shrimp. Cook a few more minutes and your done! This is nice quick way to have something different.

Enjoy!

Recipe of The Day: Ham Fried Noodle

I'm still trying post the things I've been cooking. The kids will be back in school soon, so I'll have plenty of time to create. Here is something that is so easy and pretty quick. Cooked this up for JP as a late night snack. This recipe can be created so many ways. If you've got a package of Ramen noodles the possibilities are endless!!! You can use things such has, chicken, kimchee, spam, cabbage, carrots. You can pretty much add whatever you want. It's up to you. Be creative! So here we go...

Ham Fried Noodles

Prep Time:5-10 minutes
Serving Size:1 person (or two if you want to share!)
Cook Time:10 minutes

Ingredients:
1 package of Beef Flavor Ramen Noodle
1 egg
1 stalk green onion
1/4 of a medium sized onion
1 tablespoon of soy sauce (less for less saltiness)
half packet of season pack
1/2 teaspoon Garlic Chili sauce
1/2 teaspoon sesame seed oil

Boil noodles. I don't like to let them cook to long. They still need to be a little firm.

While noodles are boiling, fry ham and onion in pan with a sesame seed oil.

Once noodles are done, drain. Throw in pan with ham and onions. Stir for a minute. Pour half of season packet over noodles and mix in well. Then pour in soy sauce and mix well.

Make a little well in the middle of pan. Crack egg right into pan. Stir egg a bit until it scrambles. Then mix everything together.

Drop in your chili sauce, mix well. Your done! Ready to eat! Oishi!

This dish is so easy. My kids love it, and it taste pretty darn good! Happy eating!
